It's official Spurs want Kjaer and Cavani

Developments seemed to take a huge plunge into Daniel Levy's pockets as Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claimed Spurs have bid €35m (£29m) for Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini: "Tottenham have bid €35m, an offer we cannot refuse, seeing as the two players have both said they want to leave," Zamparini told Sky Italia television.

"We will reinvest the money for these players," assured Zamparini. "The midfield is my biggest concern, whereas in defence and attack we are fairly covered."

In all honesty I have only seen glimpses of Simon Kjaer although I did feel the centre back looked strong and could be reliable at the heart of our back four. Edinson Cavani I've never seen play. But with competition from the likes of the teams mentioned it seems as though it would be a real coup if we pulled this move on.

Do you feel these players would move Tottenham forward next season?

Regards.
