In a shocking report this morning, our former centre half Dean Richards has died at the young age of just 36 after losing his battle with a very serious illness. The centre back, signed for £8m from Southampton in 2001 under Hoddle, went on to make just over 80 appearances for Spurs before retiring at just 30 because of medical reasons.
His most memorable moment in the lilywhite was scoring 15 minutes into his debut to put us ahead against United at White Hart Lane.
R.I.P Dean.
